STERLING GRANT '25
Lotus Magazine has been an amazing outlet to creatively express myself and take my ideas beyond what I could’ve ever imagined.
I definitely got a well rounded experience being a part of Lotus (but there still was never enough time!! :) I modeled in 4 different shoots from Fall 22 to Spring 25, designed 3 collections for the Annual Spring Fashion Show (ReWorkin It! - Spring 23, Give Me My Flowers - Spring 24, and Nature’s Forces - Spring 25), and produced one of the collections/layouts for the 15th Edition of Lotus Magazine, “Hereafter”. The 15th Edition holds a special place in my heart because my work was selected to be on the cover of that

that magazine. I remember when finding out my collection was selected for the cover, you could not wipe that smile off my face for a week!
I endlessly appreciate Lotus, the E-Board over the years, and everyone who has helped me execute my vision for my collections. I always wanted to take a different approach when creating for Lotus, so I decided to not only represent myself but my sewing/design business, The Silver Lining. The amount of hours I spent sewing towards all the outfits I styled for every collection is priceless because getting the platform to showcase your work is irreplaceable. Since graduation, I have continued to expand designing and creating clothing for The Silver Lining, and will be producing my first Fashion Show this Spring back in my hometown in Hudson Valley, NY. I had to keep the tradition of designing for a spring show every year going, but I am so excited to see what is to come of the next Lotus Fashion Show!

I will continue to praise Lotus any chance I get because seeing the originality and hard work that comes out of every edition is unbelievable. There is truly no feeling like seeing a vision printed out in a tangible magazine.
